Professional Development Sessions Launched

LCEEQ-Annual Seminar

LCEEQ is synonymous with quality professional learning events from the Annual Conference taking place in a few weeks which has more than 740 registrants interested in learning more about The Thinking Classroom, to smaller focused activities at various times during the year. Two events which have proven to be very successful: Leadership for School Improvement and the Writer’s Workshop featuring Linda Rief will be offered in 2018.

The Leadership Workshop is intended for seasoned administrators who want to keep up with the latest developments, for those who are recently appointed who are building an arsenal of effective strategies as they face the challenges of school administration, and for those considering entering the administrative ranks. The six-day workshop offers a wide range of topics and the opportunity to be part of an effective learning community.

Linda Rief is a writer, a published author, but most importantly, a Grade Eight English teacher who has so much to offer those who are charged with the responsibility of helping students, young and old, develop their skills as writers. By immersing oneself in writing, you will come to a better understanding of the challenges while taking away concrete classroom strategies.

To learn more about the Leadership Workshop click here to watch a video, to see the topics and featured spekers for the 2018 edition, and to reserve your place.

More details about the Writing Workshop can been seen here, including a message from Linda Rief as to why we need this type of professional session.

Spaces in both sessions are limited so you are encouraged to register early. Make this a real school event by having a colleague or two join you.
