Preparing for the Next Annual Conference

Annual Conference

Plans for the LCEEQ 2020 Annual Conference are well underway as the theme has been determined, and our keynote and featured speakers have been confirmed. One of the strengths of our largest professional development activity event each year is the contributions of our own professionals at all levels. The Call for Proposals for February 2020 is now available. Take a few moments to read more detailed information about the Annual Conference. Save the date, but more importantly make that decision to propose a presentation for the benefit of your colleagues across the province.

Consultants Come Together for a Day of Reflection & Learning

Math

Subject Consultants are usually the ones at the front of the room providing the PD training, but they need some time to grow professionally and hone their skills, as well. Math Consultants supporting the Math Focus Project did just that recently and made the most of it. They had the opportunity to consider “coaching strategies” led by Sara Frisbie, animator from NCSM. April Winner

Monthly Winner

Our latest website winner, chosen at random by logging into her LCEEQ account in the month of April, is Julie Houle, the Early Numeracy Consultant for the Lester B. Pearson School Board. Julie told LCEEQ that she is very passionate about sports and loves to compete whether it's hockey, ultimate frisbee or football. She considers herself as an avid traveler and welcomes any opportunity to immerse herself in different cultures.

Julie received a one-hundred-dollar gift card from Chapters to add to her own collection of good books. Follow Julie’s example by logging into your LCEEQ account on a regular basis and you could be the next winner. Each time you log in improves your chances to win.
