Vocational Education: What I Wish I Knew as a Youth Sector Admin with Christie Brown
November 28, 2024 - 10:30AM - 12:00PM (online)
The first 20 years of my career was intensely Youth Sector focused. Needless to say, I was very nervous (and a bit shocked), when the opportunity to move into Vocational Education was presented to me. Today, I can't imagine my career anywhere else. In this session, I'll share everything I wish I had known as a youth sector teacher & administrator. I'll provide a general overview of vocational education in English in Quebec, highlighting its unique structure, sources of information and the tremendous opportunities for our students. Finally, we'll explore how vocational programs can inspire and engage students early on, offering practical insights to help you leverage these programs for greater student success.
Christie Brown is the Centre Director at Pearson Electrotechnology, LBPSB
