Mentoring Matters

For the last two years the LCEEQ has been supporting school boards in their efforts to promote mentoring programs for new teachers. The Lester B. Pearson School Board has had a very successful program for years and provides a model for others who are establishing similar programs. The LCEEQ and LBPSB teamed up to offer a special training session for Mentoring Coordinators. The objective was to further build a network of teachers and administrators committed to mentoring through the On-Site Mentoring Programs that harness the expertise among both veteran teachers and those new to the profession through mentoring and reverse mentoring.
