Double or nothing

Monthly Winner

Ray Venables, a high school teacher at Evergreen High School, is the LCEEQ prize winner for October 2016.  Ray teaches guitar to all the students in his school (all 21 of them!) as well as teaches History to the Cycle One and Two students. His teaching duties represent 50% of his workload. And the remaining 50%? He is the local union president! During his 16 years teaching with the Eastern Shores School Board, he has held many roles including as teacher, RÉCIT Animator and Principal in remote Quebec schools such as Grosse Ile in the Magdalen Islands, and Chandler on the Gaspe Coast.

Congratulations to Andrea Lockwood, the Grade1/2 teacher at A.D.S Elementary in Danville, Quebec, part of the Eastern Townships School Board. She is the November, 2016 prize winner. Andrea says, “I have been teaching at A.D.S for seven years and absolutely love my job. I am surrounded by wonderful students and amazing colleagues. It is a dream come true.” When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and baking.

Andrea & Ray each received a one-hundred-dollar gift certificate from Chapters. You, too, can win just by logging into your LCEEQ account!
