Summer English Language Arts Activities for your Calendar

ELA New Teachers

LCEEQ is offering two summer professional learning institutes in support of Language Arts teachers. There are no registration fees for either workshop and subsidies are available through the LCEEQ Cost Sharing Policy.

A two-day intensive workshop entitled Strategies for Success in the Elementary School is intended for teachers new to the ELA programme or for those looking for ideas to freshen their classroom practice. The workshop is scheduled for August 17-18 and takes place in a lovely pastoral setting.

Registration information can be found here.

The Writing Workshop with Linda Rief is designed to have teachers gain a better understanding of how to promote authentic writing in the classroom by engaging in the writing process. Participants are welcome to write in English or French as the strategies learned are applicable in all classrooms. The five-day residential workshop has just a few spots still available.

The LCEEQ Annual Seminar - 2017

LCEEQ-Annual Seminar

Built into the LCEEQ Bylaws is the expectation that each year time will be set aside for the members to look at what the Committee has accomplished and what needs to be the focus for the year to come in order to keep abreast of its 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, a copy of which is available on the website. This year the two-day Annual Seminar took place on April 20-21 at the Hampton Inn in Dorval. The theme of the session was The Power of Collective Efficacy.
