Intro Video Link

Although February seems far off as you are anxiously anticipating your upcoming well-deserved vacation, plans are well underway for the Annual LCEEQ Conference. The theme of the 2018 edition is “The Thinking Classroom”. Among the invited speakers are Dr. Barrie Bennett, Garfield Gini Newman, both members of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), and Jessica Ross of Project Zero of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Now accepting 2018 Workshop Proposals

Participants in previous conferences have always stated that a real strength of this annual professional learning session is the quality and diversity of the local presenters. This is your opportunity to share your expertise. You are invited to submit a presentation proposal. Watch the video to better understand the theme of the Conference and accept the invitation by two of our featured speakers to join them in the programme.

Consideration will be given to individual and small groups of presenters. Simply complete the online Call for Papers. You have a great deal to offer other educators across the province – this is the time for action.

Our April Winner

Monthly Winner

Our latest winner, chosen at random for simply logging into her LCEEQ account in the month of April, is Tina Jacklin, Interim Teaching Principal at Cookshire Elementary School in the Eastern Townships School Board. Tina has been a teacher in the elementary sector for the ETSB for twenty years. She finds it very rewarding to teach young students to read. She is also looking forward to participating in the Elementary Math Focus Summer Institute at Manoir St. Sauveur in August. Tina received a one-hundred-dollar gift card from Chapters to add to her own reading pleasure.

Follow Tina’s example by logging into your LCEEQ account on a regular basis and you could be the next winner.
