March 27, 2020 Steering Committee – to be convened via ZOOM

PDIG and John Killingbeck Projects

Current 2019-2020 Projects:

Given that there is no clear indication of a return to work date, it is difficult to set a specific deadline for the completion of projects and submission of Final Reports. If a return to work date is sooner than later, then every effort should be made to complete approved projects in the current academic year.

In the case of PDIG, the current date of May 1, 2020 for Final Reports has been extended until June 1, 2020. This date will be reexamined in light of any extended school closures.

In the case of a John Killingbeck grant, if there is no choice, you may carry over your approved project to Fall 2020. If such is necessary, then reports and financial claims will need to be submitted before the end of the calendar year.

Project Proposals for 2020-2021:

The deadline for proposals for both the PDIG and John Killingbeck projects is extended to June 1, 2020.

In the case of PDIGs, for those who are working from home, proposals will continue to be accepted – those approved electronically by the local supervisors, as required in the process, will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. Every effort will be made to inform applicants of the status of a proposal before the end of the academic year. Once again, this date will be reexamined in light of any extended school closures.

Leadership for School Improvement Workshop

This activity has three days scheduled in April and three days in August. The first session (April 20-22) is CANCELLED.

For the time being, the August days will be retained and the programme will be reset so that these dates (August 10-12) would serve as the first three days of the project. A date in the Fall will be set to offer the final three days depending on the availability of presenters. This information will be relayed to the individuals who have registered for the project. If it is possible to reset the schedule (August and Fall) those who are presently registered would be offered priority but the session would be open to all.

The Linda Rief Writing Workshop

There is no change at present in the session to be offered from August 10-14, 2020. Registration is open at this time.

Math Focus Project – Summer Institute 2020

There is no change at present.
