LCEEQ Adds Its Voice to the Ever-growing List of Concerned Québec Businesses and Citizens
Numerous influential forces within the province have expressed to the Government the negative consequences of imposing a significant tuition increase on out of province students attending our English-speaking Universities. LCEEQ has forwarded a letter to Pascale Déry, Minister of Higher Education, asking for the complete withdrawal of the proposal.
The letter in English and en français.

Moderation Webinar On Hold
Once again this year the webinar “Understanding the Moderation Process” animated by Jeff Harvey, a Math Consultant with the Western Quebec School Board, has proven to be very popular with more than one hundred registrants.
Unfortunately, the event scheduled for December 11, 2023, conflicts with the anticipated work stoppage. As a result, the webinar will be rescheduled for early in the new calendar year. Registered participants will receive a direct messaging about the postponement and the new date. If you are not registered you may still do so here.

New Provincial Complaint Resolution Process
Formerly, each School Board had a policy for addressing complaints. We now have a National Ombudsman responsible for such. You are invited to meet Me Bernier who heads a team that covers all Service Centers and School Boards across the province. He will participate in a live webinar on January 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at which time he will explain the key elements of the law, describe the process, and answer questions from participants.
