Time for a Breather
Many of our readers begin a long-anticipated break just around the corner. Even if you do not have the days off, we hope that you have a chance for a change of pace. Regardless of what you have planned: travel to a warmer climate, a skiing adventure, or some quiet time at home with family and friends, LCEEQ wishes you a restful break.

Leadership Graduates Meet in-Person and Virtually
More than two-hundred fifty educators from across the province have completed the six-day Leadership for School Success that LCEEQ has offered over the years. These “Graduates” have activities designed for them to provide an opportunity for ongoing learning.
In April there is a two-day workshop animated by Ainsley Rose. For detailed information about this activity click here. Eligible Grads are invited to consider joining the activity.
The group that graduated last April started a very successful “Reading Group”. They meet on-line and share their thoughts about a specific professional text. They want to extend the invitation to all Grads to join this virtual activity.
They will be looking at the text, Hidden Potential by Adam Grant. Ainsley Rose, who has accompanied them, has recommended the text, and will animate the session in the months to come. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to reach out to Ainsley.

Participants Felt Like They “Belonged”
The theme of the LCEEQ Annual Conference 2024 was Embracing a Culture of Belonging. It was evident that attendees enjoyed being back in person after three successful virtual Conferences. The initial feedback from the more than five hundred fifty registrants is very positive. Sixty-one percent responded to the on-line evaluation.
Chantal Roberge of the SWLSB won the “early bird” two-hundred-dollar gift card, while Reichell Torres of Champlain College answered before the deadline and won the one-hundred-dollar gift card. A compilation of the evaluation comments will be available in March.
This year the Conference was paperless with participants being able to register and check-in each day, and access all documents by simply flashing the QR code on their name tag on an iPad at the registration desk. As a special prize three of the iPads were given as prizes – the lucky recipients were Diane Donnelly (NFSB), Suzanna Jakalian (SWLSB), and Tracy Mangal (EMSB). Congratulations to all and to our trivia winners too!
More information will be forthcoming but save the date for 2025 which will see another in person Conference – February 10-11, 2025. Hope to see you there.
